Report on Dietary Practical Session – B.Sc. Nursing 2nd Semester
Career College of Nursing, Gandhi Nagar
A dietary practical session for the B.Sc. Nursing second-semester students was conducted today in the Nutritional Lab of Career College of Nursing, Gandhi Nagar. The objective of the session was to enhance students’ understanding of therapeutic nutrition and the preparation of appropriate diets for patients with various health conditions. During the practical, students prepared diet plans for different categories of patients including diabetes, hypertension, underweight, anemia, weaning children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
The session was supervised and evaluated by Prof. Soney Toppo and Ms. Hamida Kureshi, who provided detailed guidance on the nutritional requirements of each condition. They assessed the diets prepared by students and offered constructive feedback to improve their clinical dietary skills. The session proved highly informative and helped students develop competence in planning patient-specific therapeutic diets, an essential component of nursing care.
