Medical Camp Report

Medical Camp Report (08–10 December 2025) Location: Family Planning Association, Ankur Colony, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal (M.P.) Organizers: Career Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) & Career College of Nursing, Bhopal in association with Family Planning Association A three-day free medical camp was organized at the Family Planning Association, Bhopal, with the objective of extending essential healthcare services to economically disadvantaged residents. The initiative particularly emphasized family planning and maternal health, aiming to bridge existing gaps in healthcare accessibility within the community. Throughout the camp, a wide range of activities was conducted, including general health assessments and specialist consultations. More than 92 individuals—comprising elderly citizens, adult women, adolescent girls (aged 10–56), and several pregnant women—benefited from the services. Participants underwent comprehensive screenings such as blood pressure measurement, pulse evaluation, body-weight analysis, and random blood-sugar testing, enabling early detection of potential health concerns. The camp’s success was driven by a dedicated team of seven volunteers. Expert guidance was provided by specialists Dr. Prafulla Pramarth and Dr. Kalyani, supported by nursing staff member Mrs. Priyanka and third-year B.Sc. Nursing students Ashida, Anshu, and Shobha. Their collective commitment, efficiency, and compassionate engagement ensured a smooth and impactful healthcare delivery experience. Overall, the camp significantly contributed to improving community health awareness and addressing immediate medical needs. Attendees expressed profound appreciation for the free services and urged the organizers to conduct similar initiatives regularly. The positive community response underscores the importance of sustained collaboration between CIMS, the College of Nursing, and the Family Planning Association to promote long-term health empowerment and strengthen trust in local healthcare services.
