The NSS Unit was launched in 1997 – 1998 to promote community service and personality development. It operates under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, following the motto “Not Me, But You.”
Vision
To build youth with the spirit to serve society and uplift the underprivileged through education and service.
Objectives
- To understand community needs and involve students in problem-solving.
- To develop civic and social responsibility.
- To inculcate leadership and democratic values.
- To promote national integration and social harmony.
Major Activities
- Celebration of national events like Gandhi Jayanti
- Awareness rallies on AIDS, health, and gender equality
- Blood donation camps and cleanliness drives
- Village outreach and literacy programmes
